Refund & Cancellation Policy

Our goal at Thar Car Rental Self Drive is to provide every customer with a smooth, reliable, and transparent rental experience. This policy ensures clarity and fairness for both the customer and the company.

1. Booking & Confirmation

All bookings are confirmed only after the required advance amount is received. This advance ensures vehicle blocking and prevents last-minute cancellations.

2. Customer Cancellations

  • More than 48 hours before pickup: 75% refund of the booking amount.
  • Within 48 hours of pickup: 50% of the booking amount will be refunded.
  • Within 24 hours of pickup or No-Show: The booking amount is non-refundable.

All refunds are processed through the original mode of payment within 3–5 working days after approval.

3. Cancellations by Thar Car Rental Self Drive

In rare situations such as unavoidable breakdowns or operational constraints, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a booking. In such cases, customers will receive a full refund of any advance amount paid or an option to shift their booking to another date without additional cost.

4. Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit of ₹5,000 is collected at the time of vehicle handover. The amount is refunded after the vehicle’s return and inspection, provided there are no damages, fines, or policy violations. Refunds are usually processed within 24–48 hours.

5. No Refund Conditions

  • Early returns or unused booking duration.
  • Policy breaches, traffic violations, or negligent driving.
  • Damage to the vehicle or loss of accessories.

6. Refund Processing

All refunds are issued through the same payment gateway or account used during booking. Processing time may vary based on bank or payment partner timelines.
